Veterinary Council of Nigeria Mourns the Passing of Former President, Prof. Gabriel A. T. Ogundipe

It is with deep sadness that the Veterinary Council of Nigeria announces the passing of Professor Gabriel A. T. Ogundipe, a former President of the Council. Prof. Ogundipe passed away today, Monday, January 20, 2025. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Prof. Ogundipe, a distinguished leader and an invaluable contributor to the veterinary profession in Nigeria. VCN ELECTIONS - UPDATES FROM THE DESK OF THE AG. REGISTRAR, VETERINARY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA

Dear Veterinarians, This is to appreciate you all for the confidence reposed in the current Board Under the leadership of AIG Aishatu Abubakar Baju OON, mni so far in enabling us to deliver on our mandate to the team of esteemed Veterinarians both at home and abroad. You all will recall that progressive veterinarians demanded the digitization of Veterinary activities and this was done by providing several cutting-edge technologies. So far, it's in use and we can only build on that to take our profession to the next level. As a build-up to this, the current Board also resolved to use an electronic voting system to enable all intending Veterinarians to express their candidature and as well exercise their franchise by casting their votes electronically anywhere in the world.  This of course will save a lot of stress and resources for everyone.
