VCN Inducts 12 New Veterinary Graduates, Emphasizes Professionalism

Abuja, Nigeria - September 11, 2024 - The Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) inducted 12 new graduates from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Jos, in a ceremony held on Wednesday, 11th September, 2024. In her address, AIG Dr. Aishatu Abubakar-Baju, President of the VCN, represented by Dr. Gani Enahoro, an elected member of the council's board, underscored the significance of maintaining high standards within the veterinary profession. Dr. Abubakar-Baju outlined the three fundamental pillars of veterinary practice in Nigeria: Animal Health: safeguarding the health and welfare of animals through preventive care, disease control, and treatment. Animal Production: promoting sustainable livestock production to ensure food security and economic growth.
